Mark has a strong track record of transforming technical innovation into commercial and financial outcomes across energy and advanced technology. As Founder and CTO of Displaytech, he scaled a liquid crystal microdisplay company to more than 20 million units sold and a successful acquisition by Micron Technology. He has also advised on capital deployment, helping secure over $100 million in U.S. Treasury grants and contributing to $14 billion in Department of Energy loan guarantees.
In addition to founding Solar Retina and Enduring Energy, where he developed data driven tools for renewable grid integration and advised utilities and energy companies, Mark served as Senior Advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy, helping shape a $4.4 billion strategic technology plan supporting national energy and climate priorities. He is currently a Senior Optical Engineer at Apple, working on advanced optical and holographic technologies, and is an inventor on more than 40 patents with over 80 publications.
